FJSC Salary Structure 2023
According to the Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) (Amendment) Act, 2008, the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) has an annual basic salary of three million three hundred fifty-three thousand nine hundred seventy-two (N3,353,972) naira. This amounts to a monthly salary of two hundred seventy-nine thousand four hundred ninety-seven (N279,497) naira.
On the other hand, other Justices of the Supreme Court and the President of the Court of Appeal receive a basic annual salary of two million four hundred seventy-seven thousand one hundred ten (N2,477,110) naira. This translates to a monthly salary of two hundred six thousand four hundred twenty-five (N206,425) naira.
These figures, as stipulated by the aforementioned Act, define the salaries of the CJN, the Justices of the Supreme Court, and the President of the Court of Appeal. It is important to note that these salaries are subject to any changes or amendments made to the Act in the future.
The annual basic salaries earned by various judiciary officials in Nigeria, Specifically, focus on the Justices of the Court of Appeal, Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Chief Judge of the FCT High Court, President of the Industrial High Court, Grand Khadi of State and FCT Sharia Court of Appeal, as well as the President of the FCT and State Customary Court of Appeal. Each of these positions receives an annual basic salary of one million nine hundred ninety-five thousand four hundred thirty (N1,995,430) naira.
Judges of various courts in Nigeria receive an annual basic salary of one million eight hundred four thousand seven hundred forty (N1,804,740) naira each. This applies to Judges of the Federal, State, and FCT High Courts, National Industrial Court, Khadi Sharia Court of Appeal in FCT and State, as well as FCT and State Customary Courts.
