Anambra Civil Service Examination Update
Most of the 31,800 candidates who were scheduled to take the computer-based test on Saturday claimed that they were unable to log in.
Some of them said that it was done on purpose to prevent them from participating, and they urged the state administration to call off the election and set up an ICT infrastructure that would allow all candidates to participate simultaneously.
Six thousand of the 31,800 applicants were successful in writing the test.
For the 5,000 positions that the state government advertised, more than 40,000 applications from jobseekers were received.
After a preliminary shortlisting that excluded candidates deemed to be too elderly for public service posts, graduates without a NYSC discharge certificate or Exemption Letter, and those with flaws, the total was reduced to 31,800.
